The Honorable Councilwoman Mary Castillo was elected to serve on the South Houston City Council, Position 1, to serve her term of office from 05/2015-05/2017.

Councilwoman Castillo is a proud life long resident of the City of South Houston. She attended L.F. Smith Elementary, Queens Intermediate and graduated from Pasadena High School in 1993. Is married to Sylvester Castillo and together they have 3 children.

She enjoys volunteering her time for non-profit organizations for kids and helping make our community a better and safer place to live for our residents and for the future of South Houston.

The Honorable Councilwoman Cynthia Piña was elected to serve on the South Houston City Council, Position 3, to serve her term of office from 05/2015-05/2017.

Councilwoman Piña is a proud resident of the City of South Houston. She graduated from South Houston High School in 2001. Is married to Miguel Ortiz, who is a life long resident of South Houston. They have 2 children.

Cynthia enjoys volunteering her time for non-profit organizations, especially those benefiting kids. She is a Zumba and fitness instructor in South Houston and enjoys promoting a healthy lifestyle with healthy eating habits and exercise.

The Honorable Councilman Louis Martinez was elected to serve on the South Houston City Council, Position 4, to serve his term of office from 05/2015-05/2017.

Louis Martinez is a lifelong resident of South Houston. He attended Pearl Hall Elementary, South Houston Intermediate, and graduated from South Houston High School in 1992.

Married to Michelle Martinez and father of three daughters Anessa, Mia, and Mariah.

Played Baseball at South Houston Little League for 15+ years and coached and served on board for South Houston Girls Softball for 7+ years. Also served on South Houston High School Softball Booster Club for 2 years.
